Barnfield Farm
Barnfield Farm is situated on the outskirts on Finedon Road, just off to the left in the direction of Finedon. It was farmed by the Dixon family for many years.

Information from the Wartime Survey of 1941 shows that J T Dixon was a full time farmer of 227.5 acres. The area included 83 acres in the parish of Harrowden of which 40 acres is feeding land. Wheat, barley and oats were grown together with vegetables for fodder and a small quantity of potatoes. Animals reared on the farm were cattle, sheep, pigs and poultry. Two full time male workers were employed and one male part time.

This farm was detailed in the Wartime Survey in 1941
